Tausha turned her head just barely to look at the large sword embedded in the tree she was tied to, “Why the hell do I have to be the hostage…” She muttered.

Itachi began to approach Danya, “You have something that could be very helpful to me.”

Danya glared as she took a small step back, “And what would that be?”

Kisame laughed, “The same thing Orochimaru is after, your eyes.” He ripped his sword out of the tree and casually leaned against it.

Tausha was still squirming to get out of the ropes and she would have easily been able to cut them with her chakra needles, but Itachi was smart and tied her hands firmly against the tree, she could barley move them.

Kisame could feel Tausha squirming and trying to reposition her hands, “Don’t even bother, even if you do manage to cut the ropes with your little needles, I’ll kill you before they hit the ground.”

Danya glared at Kisame then she turned her attention back to Itachi, “So what’s so special about my eyes? Why do you need them?”

Itachi lifted his chin just barely, “You’re the last female of your family, capable of performing illusionary jutsu’s, aren’t you? Well, your eyes create a liquid capable of counteracting a side effect my special sharingon causes.”

Danya looked confused as did Tausha, so Kisame spoke up, “He’s going blind, the liquid from your eyes and stop it Danya-san.”

Tausha arched an eyebrow, “And how exactly do you plan on getting that from her eyes?”

Kisame smirked, “Don’t worry, it’s not too painful…after you get used to it.” He rubbed is eye, “Although it does leave your eyes feeling really dry for a while…”

Tausha looked over at Danya and could see the blood on her clothes, ‘What happened to you Danya?’ There were so many questions running through her head and she hated being tied to the tree. Danya was right there, not even a full 8 feet away from her, she could take her back to Konoha and everything would be ok, but these goons were in the way.

Danya dropped her shoulders and lowered her head, “Let Tausha go and I’ll…”

“No! Danya no! You can’t leave again! You can’t just walk away from me again!” Tausha started to struggle even harder, “You know I can get out of this! Just don’t leave with them!” Tears slowly began to form in her eyes, “I’m not gonna lose another person I care about! Not to Orochimaru and not to these guys!”

Danya shook her head, “I don’t have the energy to fight right now Tausha, and I’m not going to let these guys kill you.”

“Danya stop that, don’t go with these guys, go back to Konoha. Neji’s been miserable without you, and Naruto misses his little sister.” Tausha lightly smiled, “I miss my first real girlfriend.”

Kisame snickered, “Awe, how sweet.” He took a hold of Tausha’s face and pushed her cheeks forward causing her lips to pucker up, “You’re so cute when you’re sad!” He laughed.

“Don’t touch her.” Danya growled. She was scary enough to make Kisame release Tausha’s face and look over at her almost shocked. “I’m wounded pretty bad, probably on the brink of death, all I have to do is barely overexert myself and I‘ll die.” Danya glared at Itachi, “I’m guessing you need me alive to get what you want, otherwise I’d already be dead. So let Tausha go…or I’ll make sure you don’t get what you need.”

“Danya!” Tausha yelled.

“Shut up Tausha! If I don’t go with them, I’m just going back to Orochimaru-sama….” Danya didn’t once look at Tausha.

Tausha felt like her heart had been ripped out, she was extremely sad but it almost instantly turned to rage, she could feel her heart rate increase and her body started to burn, “Gah!!” Within seconds a bright blue shield of chakra grew off of her body, burning the ropes off of her and singeing Kisame’s arm.

As soon as Kisame felt his arm starting to burn he jumped away from Tausha and looked at Itachi for instructions, “What should we do, she was going to cook me!”

Danya glanced at Tausha, “What’s happeni….”

She was cut off by Kisame sweeping her off her feet and running away from the area, “I’ll definitely come back to feed your friend to my sword later.” He looked really pissed.

Danya glared at him then looked over his shoulder, sure enough Itachi wasn’t far behind. ‘Good, at least Tausha should be ok…’ She sneered at Kisame then snickered, “Is that cooked fish I smell?”

Kisame gave her the death glare and didn‘t say anything

Tausha was on the ground breathing heavily.  

She got up on her knees and hands and started to look around.  Nothing…all three where gone.

“No…not…again…”  Tausha than collapsed on the ground, bawling.  “Why?!”  

She hugged her self.  “WHY DANYA?!?!

~!~

Danya clenched her teeth.  Her wounds were painful now and Kisame wasn’t helping.

When he landed on the next tree branch, it was too much for her.  “GAH!”

Kisame looked down at the girl.  She looked up and glared.  “Bastard, I am like in pain here!”

“Kisame.”  Kisame turned his head around to see Itachi stop.  So he also stopped.  “Let’s dress her wounds.”

Danya’s eyes widen.  “Oh no!  Oh no, no, no!”  Said Danya as Kisame landed next to Itachi and he sat her down.  She started to crawl away from.  “I think I will sur…”  Danya didn’t have time to finish when her world turned to negative colors.  She looked around.  “Where…”

“Itachi-san, is that necessary?”  Asked Kisame has he started to wrap her wounds in new bandages.  

“She wouldn’t be quite, so I had no choice.”   

“Ah…”  Kisame looked back at the girl.  “You know, we are going against the Leader.”

“He won’t find out.”  

Kisame nodded and looked back down.  He grunted.  He staring down in the girl’s eyes.  Then he fell to his side.  Itachi looked up, he looked almost shocked.

Danya didn’t look into his eyes.  But she stood up, and started to walk away.  

‘I can’t…move…’  Itachi thought.  He just sat there watching her leave.

Danya walked and walked.  She was breathing very heavily.  The loss of blood was getting to her and dawn had just started, the sun slowly made it’s way up, hitting her in the face.  Danya smirked.

“This…is so familiar.”  Danya said as she held her wound.  Then the memories flooded in.

~!~ 4 years ago ~!~

A girl of age 8 walked in the deep forest.  She was breathing quite heavily.  

From a distant, she looked fine, but if you were up close, she wasn’t.  Her eyes were cloudy, her body was in cuts and gashes, she held on to her right arm as blood was dripped down.  She was limping as her right leg was also cut up to no end.  

It was a wonder how she didn’t fall over.

The heat wasn’t making it any easier on her either.  She barely looked up when she saw a tiny stream to her left.  She then limped over.  But a root got in her way, she tripped, she fell.  She whimpered at the pain.  But she out up with her good arm.  Then she made eye contact in the water.  

“Who…is…that?”  She whispered to herself.  But then a word came to her.  “D-Danya…my…name…”

~!~ Present ~!~

Danya’s eyes were cloudy, at least that what it felt like, she had no idea where she was going.  

“DANYA!”

Danya looked up just when two figures landed in front of her.  She wasn’t able to look up as she fell to the ground unconscious, but her body never made it as one of the figures caught her.

Tausha hadn’t moved from the spot she had seen Danya last, she felt so worn out, “Whatever I did sure takes a lot out of me…” She had been crying for a while now and she could see the sun coming up.

The sunlight began to peek through the leaves in the trees as Tausha forced herself to stand up, “I have two choices, I can try to go after Danya…. Or try to get back to Konoha…” She glanced in the direction Danya was taken, “There’s no way I could catch her now and even if I could….what could I possibly do?”

She slumped over, she had managed to depress herself again, “Damn it! And I have no flippin clue which direction Konoha is in!” Tausha stood thinking to herself for a few minutes before she finally got an idea.

She climbed up a tree and got as high as she possibly could, then began to look around. Sure enough she could see Konoha, the large faces in the mountain wall were unmistakable. She judged it was about 5 miles away. ‘That’s not too bad…I guess.’

Tausha began to climb down the tree when she heard a familiar voice.

“Tausha-san!!”

Tausha’s eyes widened and she fell out of the tree landing on her rear end, “Oww…” She whined. She looked up and a funny looking boy in a green jumpsuit grinned down at her. “Hey Lee…”

Lee offered his hand and helped Tausha to her feet, “Good morning, were you out training early too?”

Tausha shook her head, “Not exactly…”

Lee looked confused as he kept jogging in place, “Well, what were you doing?”

Just seeing how funny Lee looked made Tausha smile, “I really need to get back to Konoha, I have some important information for Tsunade-sama.”

“Well then I’ll help!” Lee put his back to Tausha, “Quick jump on, I’ll carry you there.”

“Oh no, that’s fine…. I can walk.”

“Nonsense, get on.” Lee backed into Tausha and practically made her get on his back, “Hold on tight, I’ll have us back at the village in no time.”

“Seriously Lee, I can wal…” She was cut off when Lee bolted, she had to quickly wrap her arms around his neck to keep from falling off.

Kabuto was carrying Danya’s unconscious body, Orochimaru was moving beside him, “Kabuto, you are to never let Danya leave your sight, when Katsumi awakens she’ll help keep an eye on her, understood?”

Kabuto nodded, “Hai, Orochimaru-sama I apologize for losing her, I honestly didn’t think she even had the stamina to get that far with the wounds she has…”

Orochimaru sneered, “Just don’t lose her again!” He kept looking back as they made there way through the forest.

“What is it Orochimaru-sama?”

Orochimaru glared, “Itachi knows about Danya’s eyes somehow, him and Kisame were behind us but they’ve stopped.” He snickered, “Looks like we’re going to be changing hideouts sooner then I expected.”

Kabuto looked shocked, “Itachi and Kisame? But how….”

“It doesn’t matter now.” Orochimaru cut him off, “Just don’t let Danya out of your sight, I’m not going to lose her to them.”

“Understood.”

Lee had gotten Tausha to Tsunade’s office in under 20 minutes.

“Holly cow Lee! You just ran almost 5 miles….” Tausha slid off of his back, “You’re amazing.”

Lee blushed as he grinned, “Awe thank you Tausha.” He went to leave, “I have to continue my morning exercises now, I’ll see you later!” He waved as he left.

Tausha turned her attention to Tsunade, she was sitting behind her desk and she didn’t look happy, “Tausha, I was informed that you didn’t stay at Sakura’s last night. Mind telling me where you were and what you were doing?”

Tausha nodded her head, “Of course! Tsunade-sama, I was taken hostage by this Itachi guy….” She continued and explained everything that happened all the way up to Lee bringing her back. “So now Itachi and Kisame have Danya and I’m afraid they might hurt her! We have to do something!”


Tsunade nodded, “I’ll send some ANBU scouts to look for her, alright? Until then, I want you to rest today, seriously.”

Tausha looked upset, “But shouldn’t I be out looking for Danya too?”

“No! Have you already forgotten why you’re here? Or should I just send you back to Suna now?” Tsunade leaned forward, “I can’t train you when your chakra is already wasted, so rest up and we’ll train tomorrow. Don‘t do anything stupid and make sure you‘re with someone at all times!”

Tausha lowered her head, “I understand but could you please let me know if anything is found?”

Tsunade nodded, “I suppose.” She stood up, “Tausha hang on one minute.” She took a deep breath, “Shikamaru!”

Tausha’s eyes squinted when Tsunade screamed, then she watched as Shikamaru walked into the room with his hands in his pockets, “Yeah Tsunade-sama?” He looked half asleep.

“I want you to escort Tausha back to Sakura’s, make sure she doesn’t get abducted again.” Tsunade sat back down and smirked.

Shikamaru looked at Tausha, ‘How troublesome, this early in the morning and I already have an assignment…’

Tausha giggled a little ashamed, “That’s alright Tsunade-sama, I don’t need an escort.”

Tsunade just glared at her, so Tausha nodded, “Alright…an escort wouldn’t hurt.” Her and Shikamaru left the Hokage’s office without another word to Tsunade.

Kabuto was monitoring Danya constantly.  She was still unconscious, and from her little adventure she had, her condition worsen.  She was hooked up to wires and was on a breathing machine.

“Kabuto.”

Kabuto looked up at Orochimaru as he came.  “What is her condition.”

Kabuto noticed his voice, he was really agitated, he sighed.  “Not good, her condition has worsen, a lot.”  Kabuto pushed his glasses up.  “I have the wounds closed but she has lost a lot of blood, due of pushing herself.”

Orochimaru growled.  His chances of becoming invincible is coming to an end in front of his eyes.  Of course the Uchiha would help greatly in his dream, but Danya’s…  Orochimaru smirked.  “Did you check her eyes yet?”

Kabuto looked at him, “You mean?”

“She is thirteen, maybe…”  Kabuto got up from his chair, grabbed a couple of tools.  When he was over Danya he lifted up her eye lid and shined a flash light in it.  He then took a swab and ran it over Danya’s eye.  Then he went to his notes he wrote down brought them and the swab over to a microscope.  He then lifted his glasses up and looked inside.  Then he quickly looked at his notes, then back at the sample.

After repeating his act.  Kabuto sat up straight and looked over at Orochimaru.

“Well?”

Kabuto smirked.  He then got up and got a tiny suction tube and lifted Danya’s eye and a little machine started up.

After he was done, he picked up a little bottle of liquid that was about 1/3 full.  “We got it.”

Orochimaru smirked.  “Yes…”

Orochimaru turned around.  “When you are done, throw her out.”

Kabuto smirked and bowed.  “Hai!”

He turned around at Danya.  “Well, Danya-san, guess you are not needed anymore.”

Kabuto got back to work on Danya’s other eye.

~!~ 30 Minutes later ~!~

Kabuto had Danya in his arms as he made his way through the forest.  He knew where to leave her.  

When he made it he sat her down by a tree trunk.

“Danya-san?”  Kabuto started to shake her a little.

Danya groaned, then opened her eyes.  She looked to her sides then looked up at Kabuto.  She smiled.  “Kabuto-nii-sama.”  She made her way to sit up, but pain washed over her, she grunted and fell back against the tree.  “Where are we?”

“We are in a forest, about 50 miles away from the hideout.”  Kabuto said with a calm voice.

“Are we heading back?”  Asked Danya as she started to rub her eyes, they were a little dry.  

“I am…but you are staying here.”  

Danya stopped her actions as she looked up at Kabuto.  “What?”

Kabuto stood up.  “Don’t try to come back Danya, if you come back to the hideout, you won’t find anyone, only an empty mansion.”

Danya shook her head.  “What are you saying?  I don’t get it.”  Danya’s voice was shaking.

“Danya…”  Kabuto kneeled down at Danya’s eye level then looked at her face, but not in the eyes.  “You are no longer needed to Orochimaru-sama.”

Danya’s eyes widen as Kabuto left in a flash.
